Most concerts in Lowdham Village Hall are held on a Friday or Saturday evening, and the usual start time is 8.00 pm. We hold monthly concerts in the period from September to March plus one or two that are linked to the Lowdham Book Festival in June and an occasional ‘special’. For most events the Hall is set out in cabaret style and the capacity in this format is 180-200, slightly reduced if we use the extended stage to accommodate larger bands. Except when advised, the audience is invited to bring their own refreshments – alcoholic or otherwise. Complimentary hot drinks are available both before the concert and during the interval.
A seating plan is drawn up a day or two before each concert to enable friends to sit together, even if tickets have been purchased at different times. In principle, seating is allocated on the basis of the earlier the booking, the nearer to the front you will be. But we can – and have in the past – accommodate requests to sit nearer the back!
Our events are designed with adults (16+) in mind. If you would like to bring someone younger, we do not recommend it but would not bar it. However, we ask that they be at least 11 years old, adult-acting, and always accompanied by responsible adult(s). At least one of whom always stays with them. Please keep in mind that we do not control the content of performances or Artist’s expression, they may include strong language or material aimed at adults.
Younger guests’ presence should not take away from the enjoyment of others. Therefore, we may ask younger attendees to leave if things are not working out. Which of course will not be necessary if the responsible adult(s) manage things always with the comfort of others in mind.

Most concerts in Gunthorpe Village Hall are held on a Tuesday evening, and the start time is 8.00 pm. We aim to hold monthly concerts with a summer break in July and August. The Hall is set out in cabaret style and the capacity in this format is 80+. The Hall has a licensed bar that will be open on concert evenings.
Seating is unreserved. Access is all on one level.
